Staying Fit While Traveling: Jump Rope – A Simple Way To Get In Shape Anywhere!

Jump rope skipping is an awesome full-body exercise that is cheap, easy to do anywhere, and fun. It’s a great workout for your legs, arms, and shoulders. And it’s good for your heart and lungs too.

When I was a kid I used to do jump rope all the time. We didn’t have a computer, so we just played outside all the time. The thing about jumping rope is that you can do it anywhere. Whenever I had a few minutes I would just jump rope.

Why it’s important to keep fit while traveling?

It’s simple: Traveling makes you sick. Whether you are flying in an airplane for 20 hours or taking a bus trip of a thousand miles, your body adjusts to the stress of travel very quickly. If you don’t keep yourself in top physical condition while on the road, you will be much more vulnerable to getting sick. And when you are sick, you are miserable. And when you are miserable you miss out on the joy of enjoying your trip. If you are like me, you hate to get sick.

A healthy body helps you stay healthy. Plus, staying in shape makes it easier to get around when you travel. When you are exhausted from a long flight or a rough trip, it is much easier to walk up a hill or across an airport than it is when you are in great shape. In other words… Healthy People Travel Easier! Plus, staying in shape makes it easier to deal with the jet lag and time change when you travel.

Traveling can be hard on your physical and mental health. But, if you keep yourself in top physical condition while on the road, it will be much easier to get through your travels with minimal stress and maximum enjoyment.

How to keep fit while traveling?

What should you do to stay in shape? There are several things you can do to keep your body in top shape while traveling. The first thing I would suggest is to stop watching TV and using the computer. Instead, spend a few hours a week doing some sort of physical activity. It could be jogging, bicycling, playing basketball, or simply doing a strength training exercise routine with a set of adjustable dumbbells. Just make sure you are getting some form of physical activity.

Do yourself a favor and get a good set of jump ropes. I recommend getting two sets. One for home use, and one for traveling. If you travel often, carry your jump ropes in a handy carry-on backpack and keep your workout gear organized. This way, they are always at your side, and you can use them whenever you have a free minute. By this, I mean to use them to work out all those muscles you have been neglecting.

The second thing I would suggest is to pack some type of healthy food with you whenever you travel. A banana, an apple, a packet of raisins, a few protein bars (they have a surprisingly long shelf life)… whatever. Just make sure you are eating something nutritious and satisfying. This will help to keep your metabolism revved up which will keep you in top shape.

And the third thing I would suggest is to make sure you are getting plenty of good quality sleep every night. When you are exhausted your body is more vulnerable to illness. Plus, a tired body is more likely to crave bad food which can add extra pounds and make it more difficult to get back into top physical condition when you return home. Try to get at least seven hours of sleep every night. Even if that means sleeping in a little bit later on weekends. Avoid alcohol.

So when are you supposed to workout?

Can you imagine the exhilaration of having the ability to work out any time you want? And guess what else? You don’t even have to leave the room to get this kind of exercise. Jump ropes are great for travel. They are light, take up little room, and you can easily slip one into your carry-on bag. Add a pair of ankle weights, and now the possibilities are endless!

You can use them in the hotel room, outdoors, or at the gym. Most people who say they don’t have time to exercise really don’t have time for anything except their own comfort. The truth is, most people have no clue how to efficiently use the tiny fraction of time they do have. If you truly want to lose weight and get in top physical condition, you will need to learn how to make the most of your time. And jumping ropes are an awesome tool for this purpose.

What is the best jump rope?

It’s easy to find out… because… there isn’t one best jump rope. The best jump rope is the one you have with you. Any rope will do if you use it properly. However, some ropes are made from a higher quality material than others. I would suggest buying several different kinds and using each one for a month or so. That way, you will be able to compare and contrast the various characteristics of each rope… and… you will be able to make an intelligent decision when it comes to choosing a new favorite.

It should feel comfortable in your hand. The handle should be wide and padded too. This will help to prevent your hands from getting tired and cramping up. Just make sure it is long enough so you can get plenty of repetitions in without having to keep stopping. I personally like the Crossrope Weighted Set but for budget-conscious buyers, I would suggest having a closer look at Rogue Fitness Adjustable Speed Rope.

As you can see, both are high-quality products. They both have the same features for the most part – they’re both lightweight and easily adjustable. If you are looking for a weighted jump rope, the Crossrope gets my vote. You can use it along with their workout app (both iOS and Android) for an intense workout anywhere. The Rogue Speed Rope feels a little more solid during use and the handles have a more rigid feel. I consider both a great option for people who want something that will last for a lifetime. Whether you’re looking for a great way to burn fat, get lean, or simply stay fit and healthy, these ropes can help you.
