Great Barrier Reef

Best time to dive: Aug-Sep | Every diver’s dream is a dive in the Great Barrier Reef, on the east coast of Australia. The coral reefs extend over a distance of 1,250 miles. Visible from the moon it is home to 1,500 species of fish, 4,000 species of molluscs and 400 different kinds of corals.


Best time to dive: Feb-Sep | In the crystal waters of the Caribbean, in tropical Belize, a mosaic of 200 coral islands and three atolls create a natural diving paradise: enormous sponges, black corals, rays, barracudas and the famous 152-meter-deep Great Blue Hole.

Cozumel, Mexico

Best time to dive: spring, autumn | Cozumel is synonymous with drift diving. The currents provide a gentle (and sometimes not so gentle) push, relieving the diver of some of his exertions. The waters around the reefs are warm, clear and bustling with sea life such as lobsters, sea anemones and colourful tropical fish.


Best time to dive: Jun-Oct | Two-thirds of the 300 Fiji not inhabited offering virgin waters for exploring. They are considered to be the world capital of soft corals. Here you will encounter barracudas, turtles, sharks, dolphins and, with a bit of luck, the rare blue ribbon eel.

Honduras: Isla de Bahia

Best time to dive: Feb-Sep | Only a stone’s throw from Belize, the sea bottom of the Honduran Islas de la Bahia is defined by arrays of corals, sponges, invertebrates, dolphins, mazy lava formed swim-throughs and shipwrecks.


Best time to dive: May-Oct | Most people are oblivious to the underwater treasures of this rare gem of the Netherlands Antilles: pillars of lava adorned with sea fans, black corals, lavish fauna like sea turtles, green moray eels, tunas, sharks and dolphins.

Red Sea

Best time to dive: Oct-Feb | One of the best diving destinations in the world, the Red Sea, is renowned for its excellent underwater visibility and bountiful flora and fauna. Here you can find the famous Thistlegorm shipwreck and the Elphinstone Reef where you can encounter just about anything: from hammerhead sharks to rays and turtles.


Best time to dive: Any time | The underwater beauty of the Hawaiian Islands is mainly due to the impressive, spiraling lava formations. Due to the isolation of the islands, 30 percent of the fish are indigenous and cannot be encountered anywhere else in the world.

Thailand, Richelieu Rock

Best time to dive: Feb-Apr | It is one of the few places in the world where you could encounter the rare whale shark. Situated on a horseshoe-shaped rock formation, it has huge biodiversity, with open sea fish, barracudas, seahorses, harlequin shrimps etc.

Sipadan, Malaysia

Best time to dive: Apr-Dec | Located in the northeast of Borneo, it constitutes an important marine ecosystem with 3,000 fish species and hundreds of coral varieties. Apart from the huge rays, hammerhead sharks and turtles you may also see large shoals of barracudas passing by you.
